  1. Hi, your book is great. I just have a question…at the WP can I bring my own candle for the table ? And religious items

    1. Thanks! Yes, religious items and accessories like a unity candle or a sand ceremony are OK to bring. It’s just large floral and decor pieces that they require you to order via Disney.

  2. Can you walk from Grand Floridian to the Wedding pavillion easily? Like if i had the Ceremony at the Wedding Pavillion and the Reception at Grand Floridian would it be reasonable to have the guests walk or should transportation be provided?

    1. Yes, the walk takes about 10 minutes. It is flat the whole way and covered most of the way, but on a scorching/rainy summer day it can be pretty uncomfortable, especially for the elderly and those in uncomfortable shoes! This is why Disney always tries to get you to use transportation despite the proximity of the two venues.

    2. Hi I would like to know more information about prices and availabilities to get married at the wedding pavilion and to have a reception at grand floridian. thanks

      1. Hi! Those prices depend on the day of the week, time of day, guest count, and whether you want a full reception or just a two-hour celebration. You can see them all in Chapter 1 of the Fairytale Weddings Guide, and you can see your own personalized cost using the auto-calculating budget worksheet on page 242!

          1. It depends on what date and day of the week you want. Saturdays are the most popular day, and October and December are among the most popular months. You can book up to 12 months out if you are having a full reception, or up to 10 months out if you are just having a ceremony or having a ceremony with a 2-hour celebration. All this info is in Chapter 1 of the Fairytale Weddings Guide.

  3. Hi Carrie; your book and website are incredibly helpful! I have a very small guest list of 20 people and wondered if the wedding pavilion would be too large of a space or look awkward with so few guests in the pews.

    Thank you!
    Autumn

    1. Hi Autumn! So glad you’re finding the info helpful! I see this question a lot, and the answer is nope! Even 2-person elopements look fine in photos at the Wedding Pavilion, and all the people I’ve interviewed on the podcast who were worried about this beforehand weren’t after they actually had their weddings there!

  4. Hi Carrie? I was just wondering what do you get for the $5000 dollar ceremony venue fee at the Wedding Pavilion? Thanks!

  5. My son’s wedding is at The Wedding Pavillion and we are staying at the Grand Floridian. How do they transport us to the pavillion? Can we walk? What happens if it’s raining? Can they transport the bride all the way to the door of the pavillion?

    1. Disney will not provide transportation unless you pay for it. They have a number of options (all prices are on page 147 of the Fairytale Weddings Guide), but you can also use an outside vendor for cheaper, or even Lyft/Uber. It is definitely possible to walk from the Grand Floridian to the Wedding Pavilion—it’s about 10 minutes—but if it is raining, the best Disney can do is provide umbrellas. You *might* be able to get a golf cart from the resort’s front desk, but there’s no guarantee that any will be available when you need them and Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings can’t pre-book them. And no vehicle can convey the bride all the way to the door of the Wedding Pavilion because it is on the other side of a foot bridge. Disney’s Wedding Experience team that assists you that day will be able to provide umbrellas, though.
