Disney now prohibits couples from playing their own music from a phone or other device at all venues except ballrooms. If your event is not in a ballroom and you want recorded music instead of a live musician or a DJ, you must choose one of two playlists created by Disney and pay a $1,002 fee for an audio setup they refer to as an “iPod Package.”
There is a jazz playlist and a dance music playlist. The only songs you may request to add to these playlists are those you want for your first dance, father-daughter dance, mother-son dance and other ceremonial dances.
